Greeted by a really friendly guy on reception who checked us in and gave us our vouchers for a glass of prosecco. Room was ok - compact, clean and comfortable but a bit worn and tired (as was the whole hotel - I think I read somewhere that it is due a refurb).
Went to redeem our prosecco vouchers and the barman seemed to be struggling to find prosecco - so we ended up with a glass of wine and a pint instead, which was just as welcome!
Breakfast in the morning was tasty and plentiful although there didn't seem to be many veggie options (not that I'm veggie/vegan - but there didn't seem to be any alternatives - although they may have been if it was requested). Hot drinks on offer were just filter coffee or tea - cappuccino etc could be requested (from a machine at the bar) but there was an additional charge.
Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay at a decent price for Cardiff City Centre - I'd definitely stay again!
