Lovely room but bad layout @kettle area .
If you hang up any cloths on the hanger it is over the area where the kettle plug area is. So clothes hang over on top of kettle.

Fabulous, amazing hotel and staff. Definitely a fabulous place to stay This hotel has the most amazing staff. We had to move in due to the damage to our house during the storm and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel at home. The food was amazing and all freshly cooked with local produce. The hotel was spotless and nothing was any trouble to them. I just want to thank them so much because they made an awful situation bearable for us and made us laugh and chat. It is very rare to find so many amazing people in one hotel. U r all very special and we just want to say thank you. Would highly recommend this hotel to all types of visitors the design of the hotel and bar is second to none. Thank you

Fabulous family party We had a fabulous night at Hillyard , we have stayed many times before and love the lovely rooms . Very pleasantly surprised by amazing food in restaurant . Beautiful served , so tasty and such great staff dealing with 13 of us and all our demands !! Nothing was too much trouble . Catch of the day was cod , beautifully cooked as well as all the rest of the food . Many thanks everyone

What a treat! What a lovely overnight we had! We checked in and were welcomed by the receptionist the room was lovely and spacious with lots of tea and coffee and water available! It was spotless! Now the food was superb and we were treated to the new menu! The Bang Bang Broccoli made me insanely jealous of my husband’s choice but we shared the tikka chicken and the broccoli! The roast of the day was again beautiful and the vegetables outstanding! Sometimes vegetables are plate fillers but here they took centre stage! Hubby had the chicken supreme and left only the small bone! We managed to also eat the dessert which again was delicious breakfast was again served and superb! I can’t recommend more! I would also advise that you walk around the lake at Castlewellan forest park before attempting these portions! The staff which included the two receptionists and young Emma Daniel and Catriona are a credit to this wonderful place and I will definitely return. What a wonderful 24 hours!
