No Prosecco! But room was fine and dinner was lovely. Only 20pp for dinner so you will have to pay extra. Didn’t have time to use the spa, so can’t comment on that.

Mid week break …. Returning visit to the grand hotel in Torquay , always a warm welcome from check in to check out . Will be returning soon. Always a good idea to prebook dinner in advance. Lovely room with sea view over the bay with a comfy bed and some sun as well for our visit !

One Night Break We came here for a quick break on my wife's birthday. We were greeted by a great team on reception and enjoyed lunch in the wonderful compass bar .Our room was ready early and we were very impressed with it, it was a large room with a great sea view and a very spacious bathroom .The only downside for us was the pool area, whilst the pool was fine the changing rooms were cold and the whole area was very dated. My wife however really enjoyed her spa treatment. The evening meal was very good, an outstanding view with really good food and attentive servers.

Great winter break Just returned from staying 2 nights at The Grand Hotel in Torquay, we booked a winter warmer deal. Firstly the check in and welcome at reception was easy and we were given our room key straight away. The hotel’s public spaces are well maintained and very comfortable and cosy, we spent both evenings sitting in the bar area with a lovely view across the bay. The meals in the restaurant were exceptional, we travelled as a group of 4 and all of us could not fault the food. The waiting staff were fantastic and managed a very busy restaurant with ease. The breakfast buffet again was lovely, plenty of choices from a full English breakfast to fruit, yoghurt and pastries. You certainly won’t go hungry!! Our sea view room was comfortable and our Labrador was made very welcome. There were lots of dog owners using this hotel, we lost track of how many dog treats our dog had!! She wasn’t complaining. Definitely a pet friendly hotel. Dog walks are so easy as the beach is across the road and there are also green spaces a short walk from the hotel I used the spa on the first day, fantastic treatment by Lindsay.
