Thorougly enjoyed a two night stay here. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Yes, the decor is dated and a bit shabby in places but the hotel's spotlessly clean and it's in a perfect location to enjoy Windermere and the Lakes. There's a very smart hotel across the road, if that's what you'd prefer (and we had a lovely meal there too), but we intended to spend time enjoying the great outdoors rather than 'living it up' in something more swanky. I'll happily go back if we visit the area again.
