Fabulous hotel and excellent location. We were in Newcastle collecting our son from Uni. The bottle of prosecco on arrival was very well received after a horrible drive up from North Staffs. The room was on a high floor, large comfortable bed and breakfast was very tasty and fresh.

Vey happy overall with my experience Great stay at Leonardo hotel Newcastle. Room nice and spacious with comfy bed. One downside was the hairdryer which was wired in to the wall so could not be removed from drawer making it very difficult to dry hair. Breakfast very good. Staff were excellent. Friendly, cheerful and super helpful. Location good as central to Newcastle's amenities and railway station. Would stay again.

Great stay, did the job. Used the hotel many times when it was the Jurys Inn. You can’t fault it for the location; very close to the train station, bars, restaurants & shopping. Impressive reception area and I was provided with free water and a complimentary coffee upon check-in, much appreciated. The bed was so comfy, one of the best I have slept in. Breakfast very nice too, I was there for 6:30 everything was out ready & the hot food was piping hot and cooked to perfection. Great selection of cereals, pastries & drinks.

Great experience. Thank you Scott ..! I arrived at the hotel after a very long day driving over 5 hours around 6pm very tired. Had no booking on arrival and as I had booked the quayside. Asked Scott if I could change to this one. He kindly assisted me in between helping others as well. Called the other hotel and asked if he could take off of their reservations. Sorted this out for me. Also get a discount for the car park opposite as well. Great breakfast too.

Friendly staff and great location (proximity to Utilita Arena Stadium) were pluses for our overnight stay at Leonardo Newcastle cityside Hotel. The value was excellent including welcome late (2pm) checkout, bar, meal, room service discounts and complimentary bottle of Prosecco. However the room itself was disappointing: the plug in hairdryer did not work, the toilet made a loud wheezing sound for 3 mins every time it was flushed and in the morning between 8-9am there was no hot water for a shower despite running it for 10 mins twice in that time frame. Cleanliness could have been better with some surface tops (bathroom toilet roll holder, skirting) dust-lined and marks on bathroom wall around toilet ☹️. Unfortunately the excellent value of this offering would not persuade us to book the hotel again because of these shortcomings.

The hotel was lovely but wowcher had booked the wrong room so we were booked into a standard room instead of superior. Complaint still ongoing and getting nowhere

The ground floor is nice but the rooms are extremely dated and not superior at all. We also had problems with the door key card and hot water. Bar staff were lovely but breakfast wasn't great either. Wouldn't stay again unless the rooms were refurbished.
